Hi all, I am new.

I would like to ask if there is an example on how to connect 2 AXCF 1152 on a router and send each other data. For example,

a simple touch on the screen will toggle a button on the other screen?
If I miss place the question please redirect me to the proper thread.

Much appreciated. I am here to learn

Thank you,

Hello Hhchien,
you have alot of possibilities to solve that and alot of open questions.

1. Will the PLCs have Static IPs in the Subnet of the router or both be dynamicallyassigned by the Router?
2. Do you have the posibilty to dynamically assign fixed IPs to the PLCs via dhcp from the router?
3. How fast are you going to need data to be transfered and how many data?

Btw You can access multiple ehmi Servers from a single client so you basically can switch between PLC control interfaces so no real need to Transfer data for that purpose.

-The Data does not need to be really fast... just I guess reading the input and the output from each other

Btw You can access multiple ehmi Servers from a single client so you basically can switch between PLC control interfaces so no real need to Transfer data for that purpose.
-I am very new to this. Do you mean using OPC UA? I been trying to read. and find online information.

-I was reading somewhere on the forum that each plc device can act as a server and a client.

- What I am trying to do is one PLC needs to control its own switch at the same time activate another switch on another PLC. and vice versa. How can I achieve that ? By directly sending a command ? or any suggestion you may have will help.

Thank you so much

Hello hhchien,
you could use PN.
Add one PLC as a PN device to the other PLC.
And then use the Input Output IO to forward the bits of your switches.

Might be a little overkill but its quite easy to setup for beginners more configuring then programming...

Hi Oliver,
Other parts of the setup have not came in yet. I have ordered the modules.
Can this be done with hmi? touching a button then turns other button or even flip a page on the other hmi. just to simulate a transfer in data

Hello hhchien,
Switching a page is not possible as you can not remote controll a browser but you can display a variable change - yes.
I recommend having a look at the Infocenter and the available gettingstarted guides.

Hello Hhchien,
did you asign the names to both of your PLCs?
have a look here for some help:
https://www.plcnext-community.net/en/discussions-2-offcanvas/i-need-some-help-to-communicate-plc-in-profinet.html

I am sure your local subsidiary is happy to give you a short introduction how to work with the PLCnext Engineer, PLCs and PN setup in general.

kind regards,
Oliver
