How many client/server combinations can the 2152 support on Modbus TCP or Profinet? And how many Ethernet connections can you have?

Hi Josh,

please check for the Profinet limits the technical details in the datasheet.

Regards for Modbus TCP and general ethernet sockets we don't have a limitation, we're just using the Linux BSD sockets and on those classes are also the IEC 61331 function blocks based.
In theory is the only limit the available memory to handle the sockets, in practice we have 25 simultaneous open connections. For the next release test we will raise the test limit to 50 simultaneous sessions.

But once again, this is not the limit, only what we've tested.

Take care

Frank

Have you made the test with 50 simultaneous sessions ?

Thank you

Hi Sidnei,

we've not done the test so far as we've not seen the direct need for that so far.

Take care

Frank
