Hi,

it seems that we got a broken restart/reboot on Saturday and I wasn't able to find the root of the problem leading to the restart, because system logs and plcnext logs just began with the reboot. I call the reboot broken because the kernel was restarted but the controller did not boot properly but ran into fail mode (red LED was blinking). I already read this and suspect to have a similar problem (but it's still possible that we just had a power problem). If we restart our controller and client programs (using opcua) I can see a slow but steady increase of memory usage. According to the hints given in the thread of @manelredondo we will try to change our client code to maintain an already opened connection instead of close/reopen it. But apart from that it's a reason of concern to me if I don't have any logs to go for.

kind regards,

frank

Hello Frank,
what Device are you using?
What Firmware Version is installed?

So the Output.log was empty, was there maybe another file named Output.log.1?

Can I send you some further Information for debuging your OPC UA Client via mail?
kind regards,
Oliver

 Hi Oliver,

thanks for your response. We are using an AXC F 2152 and firmware is 2020.6.1. Yes, there's a Output.log.1 (now), but it starts with a time stamp after the reboot.

We changed our client code to lower the number of connections and it looks like we slowed down memory usage quite considerably, but we're still testing yet.

Yes, I appreciate some more debugging aid and email is ok.

kind regards,

frank
