Hello, I am trying to configure an NFS server and client example with two PLCnext controllers. I see that there is already an NFS client in the PLCnext, but the server I had to install.

The issue I am having is getting the server to function. I have installed nfs-utils, rpcbind, dstat, and unionfs-fuse on the controller (in the opt directory for this test). I can almost get the server to run but it is showing this error below due to a missing file. In the picture you can also see that I do navigate to that directory and it does exist, with two directories in it (. and ..).

I have tried to run the mount command it lists but it returns "mount: mounting nfsd on /proc/fs/nfsd failed: No such device"

Hello Dan,

I am sorry for the delayed response. The kernel parameter is not set for nfsd. The controller is only usable as a nfs client.

Alternatively you can install and use SMB Server. I have some trouble to get the authentication running with my office PC, but it should work.

You can get Samba via the package manager optware. Here is a video tutorial how to install optware on your device: https://youtu.be/lwv5tB8wd10

Unfortunately there is only an older version (samba36) available for ARM HF. You can install it via ipgk install samba36

Regards

Marcel
