The process data type of RSUNI is 160bit (20byte) and the lenth of process data can not be changed.

But thers is no RSUNI_160 function block  in the library of ComSerial_3.

Would you like tell me how I use the RSUNI with PLCnext Engineer.

Thank You.

Best regards.

I hope I can help.

Firstly, if possible please update the firmware on your controller to the latest version (2020.0.1).

Then, please use the latest version of the ComSerial function block library:

  • For Axioline (grey) RS UNI modules, please use the AXL_ComSerial FB library (currently version 7).

The library that you are using (ComSerial) is only for InLine (green) modules, and is not suitable for use with Axioline modules.

The documentation for the AXL_ComSerial FB library has a "getting started" guide, which should help.

To connect the 20 bytes of Process Data on an Axioline RS UNI, there is a data type defined in the FB library - AXL_RSUNI_ARR_B_0_19 - which you can use to declare IN and OUT port variables, and then link these to the Process Data on the RS UNI module.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

~ Martin.
