Hello,

I would like to know whether L2TP (Layer2TunnelingProtocol) protocol is already available in the OS of AXC F 2152 or not. If yes, how to trigger it?

We are testing Profinet communication across 5G network and L2TP is required. Thanks.

Best Regards

Zhang Long

Hello Zhang,

this is currently not availabe in the PLC Fw.
What requiremnts to l2tp Versions ect. do you have?
Do you need client or server capabilities on the PLC?

Hello Oliver,

The recommendation from 5G partner Huawei is to use L2TP V3, and we'd better implement both server and client.

Thanks.

Hello Zhang Long,

there are currently no plans to integrate L2TP as a part of the FW or to extend our PN support with L2TP.
The customer should however be able to implement this functionality himself, maybe even provide an App for this feature.

If you add a 5G module however I would recommend implementing the Ipsec and L2TP protocoll directly on this router device.
Especially If you want other PN devices in the PLCs network to also be reliably available via L2T.

As far as I know the MGuard already provides these things for 4G...

kind regards,
Oliver
