Assigning IP addresses 

• Log in to the WBM.

  Establishing a connection to the Web-based Management (WBM):

  • Open a web browser on your computer.
  • In the address field, enter the URL https://<IP-address-of-the-controller>/wbm,
    for example: https://192.168.1.10/wbm.

• Open the Network page (Configuration → Network). 

The information under TCP/IP (LAN1) refers to the subordinate network, i.e. the extension module. The information under TCP/IP (EXT LAN 1) refers to the higher-level network, i.e. the PLCnext Control.

• Assign IP addresses and Subnet Masks for both networks appropriate for your security context (see topic Deriving IP addresses) by entering them in the Configuration area.
