Installing an app

There are different ways to install an app, depending on whether it is a free app or a chargeable app. Also, you can install it online or offline. 

You want to install a free app

Online

• Prepare your controller and add it to your account in the PLCnext Store.
• Use the Install button and follow the installation wizard.

Offline

• Prepare your controller and add it to your account in the PLCnext Store.
• Use the Download button and follow the installation wizard. 

You want to install a chargeable app

For installing a chargeable app you need to purchase the app's license first. The purchase process is described in the topic Purchasing a license via PLCnext Store. After purchasing the app's license, you have to activate your license. 

Online

• Purchase the license.
• Prepare your controller and add it to your account in the PLCnext Store.
• Go to your license pool, use the Install button and follow the installation wizard.

Offline

• Purchase the license.
• Prepare your controller and add it to your account in the PLCnext Store.
• Go to your license pool, use the Install button and follow the offline installation wizard.
