- Introduction to communication via Modbus RTU
- Introduction to SQL databases and access to them from a PLC
- Introduction to communication via TCP/IP
- Access to the memory card of the PLC
- Cyclic and acyclic PROFINET communication
- Development of function blocks and functions in IEC 61131 language Structured text
- SNMP communication
- Test of function block functionality in the test facility

Prerequirements
We assume a sound knowledge of programming with programmable logic controllers in structured text for this course or participation in the course. Furthermore, a good knowledge of network technology is required.
Objective
You are able to exchange data between controllers via TCP/IP communication. You can use various libraries, for example, to store data from a controller in a database. Communication to external devices via Modbus RTU does not cause you any problems. You are also able to store data on the memory card of the controller.
