This week, as part of our „Women in Automation“ campaign, we’re featuring a dynamic duo from PLCnext Technology – Jessica and Anna-Maria, who are both part of the product documentation and master data management team. 1. What motivates you to work in the PLCnext Technology environment?
Jessica: “I really enjoy my work, collaborating and exchanging ideas with motivated and dedicated colleagues in appreciative teams. It’s exciting to witness how sketches, ideas, and drafts transform into a diverse array of individual components and drawings, culminating in the first tangible production samples. As the bridge between development and production, we must consider multiple perspectives and specifications, making our work in product documentation an ongoing quest for optimization.”
Anna-Maria: “Exciting tasks and dynamic challenges motivate me, making everyday work interesting and diverse. The collaborative working environment and my colleagues on the team also play a significant role. Through desk sharing, I continually discover new areas of responsibility and get to know fellow employees at PLCnext Technology. The involvement in various projects, collaborating with different departments, keeps the work stimulating and multifaceted. No two days are alike, and that’s precisely what makes my job at PLCnext Technology so thrilling.“

Jessica: “I haven’t worked for a direct competitor yet, but compared to my previous employers, I find the team spirit, communication, and cohesion to be excellent. We collaborate in a very collegial and appreciative manner, and we also enjoy spending breaks together. Working in diverse, outstanding teams, combined with interesting and forward-looking projects, as well as the various flexible working time models, make this employer highly attractive and family-friendly. The modern working environment and the option for home office both challenge and encourage flexibility every day!”
Anna-Maria: “Innovative and exciting projects like Beehyve and the All Electric Society Park set us apart from other companies. At PLCnext Technology, we not only demonstrate the “classic” applications of our technologies to customers but also explore areas where you wouldn’t typically expect them. By doing so, we position ourselves in the spotlight and remain part of the conversation. The sense of unity (“we” feeling) is consistently reinforced, emphasizing that we are all part of the same team. This extraordinary team spirit is something I’ve rarely encountered elsewhere.”
