I wanted to install licenses to my PLC.

  • The firmware is updated to 2021.0.3
  • It has been reset after updating the firmware to prevent errors when installing licenses
  • Store connection is activated, but connection is never established only shows "connecting" see attached picture (waited around half an hour, restarted the PLC etc. but nothing helps)
  • Tried to do the installation offline but in the last step I received error code 412 and couldn't upload the last file to the store
  • I tried to cancel the installation because I couldn't get forward
  • Now the license installation is in an error state
  • I tried to uninstall the corrupted license but I get error code 500

Now my license is lost and the PLC is not usable without the correct installed license.

What can I do to install my licenses?

Hello Fabian,

>> It has been reset after updating the firmware to prevent errors when installing licenses
Performing a reset makes sense with this firmware. With firmware 2021.0.5, the update process is much more stable.

>> Store connection is activated, but connection is never established only shows "connecting" see attached picture (waited around half an hour, restarted the PLC etc. but nothing helps)
In the course of a reset, all security items are deleted. For this reason, the device communication must also be reseted.
How to re-initiate the device communication (reset Regtoken) after a reset is described here in our FAQ:
Link to the STORE FAQs: https://store.plcnext.help/st/PLCnext_Store_FAQ/PLCnext_Store_FAQ.htm
-> I reset my PLCnext Control and now it always appears "offline" in the PLCnext Store. What should I do?
or
-> Why is my PLCnext Control displayed as "offline"?

Short description for your case:
1. Go to proficloud.net and log in to your Proficloud account.
2. Go to "My Appliances". (left side)
3. Select the UUID of your device.
4. Click on the Button "Reset Regtoken". (Upper right corner)
5.Wait for 20 Secounds in the Store. The Device will turn "online"

I will place an additional button directly in the store, which reassigns the security items (Regtoken) to the device and thus reestablishes the connection.

Please try to establish the connection first. Use the tips I gave above to do this. Once the device is online, we can easily rectify the situation.

BR,

Daniel
